The maximum amount that will be granted to an organization in 2026 is $350,000.
2026 Competitive Grant Important Dates:
First day to access the application via our Grant Management System: 8/3/2026
Application deadline: 9/18/2026 at 11:59 p.m.
Applicants notified if their application is approved or not: Between 10/19 and 10/23/2026
Award Ceremony for approved projects: 11/05/2026
Earliest project start date: 10/23/2026
Latest project end date: 10/8/2027
Last date to submit grant reimbursement form: 10/8/2027
Applications must be submitted via our Grant Management System by end of day on September 18, 2026.
Only one application will be accepted from an organization.
If your organization is requesting $100,000 or more, you must create and submit, via our Grant Management System, a video (no more than 5 minutes in length) in which you explain what your request is and what impact it will have on your community. This will give your organization an additional opportunity to promote your project to the Lyon County Riverboat Foundation board.
For those applicants that have their grant request approved, in order to receive the grant, you must have at least one person representing your organization at the award ceremony on November 5, 2026. Appetizers will be served at 6:00 p.m. with the award ceremony starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort Event Center near Larchwood, IA.
Grant recipients must return all copies of invoices, receipts, checks, etc., and complete and return the payout submission form, via our Grant Management System, no later than October 8, 2027.
